The Kickoff, Inauguration, and Part of the Gameplan

So, I was just talking to a friend, and told her "I feel like I don't have a lot to say." I then got a little angry with myself - of COURSE I've got something to say, everyone does! I'm not sure that this is a wonderful thing, in some cases, but there's a lot of not speaking out going on. So here it is: I'm here now, and I'm ready to get this thing rolling. Hang on tight, ladies and gentlemen, but feel free to put your hands, feet, and anything else you'd like out the window, and have fun, for once.

Alright, so first thing's first - the world, as it were, is headed downhill, despite the desperate attempts of so many do-gooders, dreamers, idealists, and eccentrics. Let's think about it. People aren't happy! I don't mean that not everyone on the earth is happy, because that's impossible. I mean massive amounts of people are unhappy. It's ridiculous - how much does it take to make you happy? Really? I mean, not how much does it take to make you ecstatic, or to really make your day. How much does it take, when you wake up in the morning, to make you smile because your world is still the way it should be?

What I've got issues with is that thousands, no, millions of people don't have even that. Food, for instance, which we have enough of in the United States to feed the REST OF THE WORLD, and not just once. A warm bed, where there isn't any fear of not waking up in the morning. Maybe even a hug - not complicated things.

I'm not going to start preaching humanitarian aid, don't worry (though I certainly respect those who do that kind of work highly). All I'm saying is that we should consider changing. Here's what I propose, in visual metaphorical terms: first, lets take all of the social norms, class struggles, currencies (yes, all our moneys), and fundamentals, and throw them out the window. They can get collected by the trash man the next time he comes 'round. Lets start over, piece by piece, and build things up from the beginning. Stop talking about it - do it.

I'd like this blog to be a conversation between myself and my readers (however few of them), so that I'm not just making suggestions all the time. So then, where shall we start? I'm not going to preach, as I said earlier, or even suggest. Anyone have thoughts? Where DO we start with this kind of thing?
